The Cal State San Bernardino student this morning will board a plane for New Orleans to further promote the cause and attend the inaugural meeting for the Clinton Global Initiative University.
Former President Bill Clinton's newest project challenges college students and universities to tackle global problems with practical, innovative solutions.
"I was shocked to find out that I was chosen to attend the meeting, but also excited because I feel something will get accomplished," said Griffin, a psychology major.
Griffin will attend sessions through Sunday at Tulane University that will feature discussions and debates.
On Sunday, Clinton and students will visit areas most affected by Hurricane Katrina.
